Kellie martin is an American actress in television, film and stage performer. Her most notable roles include Christy Huddleston (Christy) in the period drama Christy'; Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On) in Life Goes On; and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". In addition, she is famous for her role as the lead on the Hailey Dean Mystery. Martin's acting career began at age seven when her aunt, the former nanny who took care her children Michael Landon, helped secure an appearance as a character in the 1982 film 'Father Murphy.' Following her graduation from Yale University, she took acting more seriously, and eventually landed significant roles both on the smaller and big screen. Martin, who is an actress in addition to a gifted dancer and photographer, has been in the business for over twenty years. Martin is also a mom of two, and also the face of Lupus. Since her sister's tragic death at the age of 19 Martin has been working to spread awareness of Lupus and its symptoms.
